This is an official side event of the World Circular Economy Forum Online (WCEFonline), hosted by the Finnish Innovation Fund Sitra and its partners.

Plastic action in a post-COVID economy requires a collaborative approach, bringing together public sector, private sector and civil society to accelerate large-scale investments for a transformed plastics economy.

Leading actors spanning the plastic value-chain, from informal waste workers to CEOs and ministers of state will share lessons learned after a year of partnering for plastic action.

Highlighting Ghana's National Plastic Action Partnership's (NPAP) work to develop a circular economy framework as the main vehicle for reducing plastic waste and pollution in Ghana, through a collaborative approach that brings together civil society, public and private sector. We will discuss our motives, methodology, progress and ambition.

Building atop a strong science-based foundation, the NPAP is seeking partners to support in the development and deployment of a national investment strategy to finance Ghana’s circular economy future.

This event aims to bring together international partners working on plastic circular economies, as well as Ghana public and private sector partners looking to showcase their work and develop investment strategies for future interventions.
